Perfume Review Indonesia: Hmns — Farhampton
Hi everyone! Long time no writing into this platform. So, after my long writing about UX Writing Challenge, now I decide to casually write something here, maybe with full English — but if I write any stuff with Bahasa Indonesia, I will mention it. For now, I would like to write every stuff that I like; this could be (still) about UX Writing, perfume, or maybe mental health? who knows ~
So yeah, I start Perfume Review with HMNS — yes, this brand so mean for me because I recognize and start to explore the perfumery when I see this brand. I thought this brand at that time was so informative about perfume and the team so warm and friendly as well. Really, I still appreciate this brand, but not much as the beginning *my personal thought. Anyway, please welcome, this is Farhampton.
#1. Packaging — delightful experience!
Yes, this is my first full bottle perfume with price around 350k rupiah, yeah honestly I never buy perfume at this range before, always lower than 100k (lol). I love the packaging so much, it feels like we buy an expensive perfume when you unboxing this one. There is a greeting card with “hello” that remind me of greeting card from Apple brand, then there is a discount voucher for our next purchase, guaranty card, and absolutely the full bottle of Farhampton. Oh, don’t forgot about the copy or description from this perfume. This tell the story about the situation in the middle of the night when rainy days, and this story was so fit to this perfume!

#2 The Juice and Scent — good with the price range
Farhampton comes with a 100 ml bottle, with Eau de Parfum concentrate. At the first sniff, honestly I don’t really like this one because this reminds me of ‘well-known’ man perfume, which we often find the scent in some supermarket and cheaper than this one. But … I love Farhampton when it dries down, this linger on my skin with the sweet-warm sensation from tonka bean and cedar — yes, this perfume is type of aromatic, fougere with a little bit of sweetness.
At the opening, you would find clearly the bergamot with a little touch of orange blossom, typical like a fresh perfume for man, but after a several minutes, a little bit of lavender turns out and this one nice blend with the base notes: labdanum, and make this perfume more aromatic, change from the fresh one into aromatic. In a few hour, we will find this perfume more sweet than the first time because of the tonka bean, but balance with cedar.
Anyway for local brand, this one have a nice juice with not too oily and quick to dry on my skin.
#3 Occasion? Marketed to?
Absolutely, Farhampton marketed to a man, because of the masculinity on this fragrance. This fit so well when we’re wearing this at the night or in rainy season. Don’t know why, but I feel warm and enjoy every seconds with this perfume while wearing in the night or rainy days, and this way make this perfume different with “cheapy supermarket perfume” like I mentioned before, the notes detail on this great enough to explore, but overall you may feel the same like I did — cheapy supermarket perfume.
If you want imagine, this smells like a friendly famous boy in campus when going to hang out in the night, who loves wearing black t-shirt with sneakers, and he actively do some sports. Yeah, cool boy — that’s I could imagine from this perfume.
#4 Conclusion
If you like moderate scent, not too strong and not really want to be a central of attention, safety player for choose a perfume — especially for beginner, guess you would like this one. But, if you’re looking for an unique perfume, outstanding and wanna be central of attraction, guess you would skip this. This great to try if you feel you’re a cool boy (lol) but yeah, nice to having this one for your daily scent or dumb reach perfume, which when you confuse to choose what perfume to wear, this one is one of the solution — versatile enough.
